A twisted fairy tale re-telling.
now for 99 cents
I have decided to publish the novella I wrote for the Once Upon Another World box set. This was the set that made the USAT list last year. We, a group of 22 authors, entered the list at number 69, no mean feat. The anthology is no longer available, but the book I wrote for it is.
Now Fairy Tales are not really my genre, but this one was a lot of fun te write. Even though I am a fantasy author of mainly dark fantasy, I couldn’t bring myself to write a serious version of a fairy tale. So it has become a humorous version. With a dark twist, hey, I can’t fully ignore my normal instincts.
How silly is it? you may ask. Well…Snow is not a picture-book princess, the prince is, shall we say, otherwise interested and the 7 dwarfs are seven werewolves. And that’s just the start.
Like I said It was great fun to write, but not really my genre, so I don’t expect to do more Fairy Tale re-tellings.
What am I doing? I am about halfway through the second book in the Devil series. (now officially renamed the Providence series) and I have started the third book in the Prophecy series.
In addition I have written two (very) short stories, So-called 45 minute books. The idea is that these can be read in 45 minutes, as the name says. It’s quite a popular thing on Amazon. Mine are a series of (steamy) adventure books.
I want to write 10 and then publish them one every two weeks to keep the momentum going. I will keep you all informed on the progress of my writing and the expected publication dates.
In the meantime, here are some great books from fiends, most discounted, to get through the dark winter evenings.
p.s. in the Urban Fantasy ARCs you’ll love, you can go to Booksirens and sign up to join the ARC teams of the books featured.
