Strange times with the Covid-19, a.k.a. Cornona, virus and
everything being cancelled.
Best thing to do is
grab a good book, stay at home and read.

Life got really weird in the past weeks, for the whole world. This is the first time that I, and most people, have experienced anything that has such far-reaching consequences as this virus. Here is Europe it’s known as the Corona Virus. And though I’m not particularly worried for myself because I’m extremely healthy, it can have other effects for people I love, and that makes me cautious as well.
So how do you react to something like this?
I have absolutely no idea. Just go with the flow I guess. Keep up with the news, follow the rules, don’t panic and use common sense.
Things are getting shut down here in Holland, like in a lot of countries. Schools, sport clubs, bars and such are all closed as of tomorrow. Essential jobs have been identified, other people are asked to work from home.
One good thing coming out of all this, is that people are helping each other.
Lets hope that this virus can be contained and hopefully a cure will be found in the near future.
On another note:
I went to the UK last week. Initially for the London Book Fair, but that was cancelled as so many big events, and the Self Published Show which thankfully did go ahead. And it was great. The conference was organised by Mark Dawson and his amazing team. It was focussed on self publishing authors, like me. I learned a lot and had a great time too.
I met lots of great authors who are very motivated to write fantastic books. we exchanged a lot of tips and great ideas. I’m fully motivated to get down to writing and create some great books. Watch this space.
So what are you working on? I hear you say:
Well, there are a number of books. the first is the sequel to Assassin’s Choice aptly called The Prophecy. The second is a horror story. It will be part of a box set that’s scheduled for publication in October. The working title is “Beauty”. I’ve finished the book for another box set: a fairy tale retelling. It was great fun writing it. Turned out quite silly and funny. But hey, I can’t stay serious with a fairy tale retelling. That will be published in October too.
