My new year’s resolution is to read and write even more books this year.
What’s yours?
I’m not a New Year resolution type of person. But this is one that I can easily keep to. I love to read and love writing even more. No worries, right? now all I have to do is find the time. Only way to do that is to plan.
I have great plans for 2020.
Write and publish five new books! Yes Five!
The first book to be published this year is Assassin’s Choice. It is now available in pre-order and will be published on January 28th.The cover above gives a hint of what the book is about. It’s book one in a new series called The Prophecy Series. Assassin’s Choice is my first attempt at a slightly new genre. It’s still Urban Fantasy, only this one has some romance in there. Not too much, and of course riddled with my usual twists and turns that challenge the characters. Shape shifters are featured prominently; WereWolves and Sabre Tooth Tigers. A cat and dog thing. Like our domestic friends, getting along has its challenges when you mix feline and canine in the supernatural. Especially if they both have their eye on the same prize.
The second book in 2020 will be the sequel to Assassin’s Choice, called The Prophecy. I’m busy writing that one now. I have a general idea of the direction it will go, but knowing me; there will be some surprises.
Then there are two books that I’m writing for Box sets. Yes, the USA Times is still up at the top of my Bucket list, and for an Indie author the best way to achieve that is together with other authors in a box set. One box set features new versions of Fairy tales, I’m having great fun with that one–going to be an UF comedy, and the second box set has a Halloween theme. Dark and scary.
Ok, so that’s four in total. One more to go. That I expect will be the third book in the Prophecy series. I already know that the story will need more than two books. It could also be the second book in the Halloween themed tale. That one will take two books to finish.
So that’s me all set for this year. Lots to do. How about you?
