Well, we did our best for the USA bestseller list.
I don’t know if we made it. that’s something I will probably find out later today or tomorrow. But it was a great experience, whatever the outcome. And to boot I wrote a book I would probably never have written if I hadn’t joined in the effort. It is slightly different from the books in the Primal Series, as there is a definite reverse harem element in the story. (The subtitle of the box set was Forbidden Love after all). It is also not as dark as you are used to from me. I’m curious what you think of it, so for those of you who bought the box set, let me know what you think. Should I continue on that path? or stick to the Primal type stories? or maybe even both 🙂
I’m busy with the last chapters of the final book in the Primal Series. That in itself is a very strange realisation. The story that has kept me awake for many years is coming to a close.
I’ll miss my characters, even if it is time. I can’t keep postponing the end. It will be bitter sweet though. I’ve grown very fond of my reluctant heroine with a bad attitude. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve been in someone else’s mind for so many years. Even if they are fictional.
That’s one of the great things about being an author. I get to live out fantasy lives of the characters in my books. Through their eyes I can experience what they do. What they feel and what they accomplish. It’s role-playing to the max. I have loads of imaginary friends and enemies and even get to win all my struggles without leaving the comfort of my home. Sure, she kept me awake at night contemplating whether the new road that I had put her on was the right one. Whether the struggles would be just too much, and most of all; how on earth was I going to end the story in a way that felt good. But this is what it’s been building up to.
The end.
That is going to be so strange to write after the last chapter: “The End.”
Knife’s Edge, the final book in the Primal Series will be published on December the 3rd. That gives me just about 7 weeks to finish it and get it uploaded to all of the e-book sellers. Piece of cake. Yeah, sure. 🙂
And then I get to write new stuff.
I have so many stories running around in my head that I don’t know where to start.
