And then there were 7…

Just 7 days left until the release of Playing With Fire.
That means that after that I will finally stop pushing, and moaning and begging you to buy the box set. Ha Ha.
But seriously Folks, it’s a steal for 99 cents.
Lots of you have already pre-ordered the Playing With Fire Boxset.
Thank you so much for that.
We are now in the absolute countdown. 7 days and counting.
I’m always nervous before the release of a new book, and this time is no exception. It’s not just the fact that we are rooting for a place on the USA bestseller list–that should be more than enough–but my book in the boxset is the first one in a new series.
That’s scary.
I loved writing it. I had great fun with all the new characters; thinking up names, places, special powers. No matter how much I love the characters in the Primal series, it’s good to try something new every once in a while.
I won’t give too much away, but Assassin’s Choice has more than enough going on to become a new series. There is a scala of different avenues that I can pursue to continue the story of a new heroine, once again one with an attitude.

Talking about the Primal Series.
I am nearing the end of the series now. The last book is Knife’s Edge. I promised you the cover. Well, here it is.
What do you think?

It’s a deviation from my regular covers. There are two people on the cover now. Don’t worry, it’s not a romance book. It still the Urban Fantasy that you are familiar with from me.
If you have read the books, then you will be able to recognise the characters. The woman is of course Anadi; The Primal Force. The man is Kane. I introduced him in the last book; He is the new Conquest. One of the original Riders of the Apocalypse. Both play big roles in the final book in the Primal Series. Separately, and as the prophecy indicated, together.
It’s quite the ending. I can tell you.

I’m currently writing the last chapters. After that I will need to edit, edit and then edit again. The book will be sent to my ARC team and my editor and all the silly mistakes will be taken out (I hope). After that, when it’s at its best. It will be published.
I have not set a definite date yet, but it will be somewhere end of November or beginning of December. No later than that.
I will release the definite date in the next newsletter. I have to check a few things first.

In the meantime, here are some great books for you to read.

happy reading

DAUGHTER OF KRONOS

TAMAR SLOAN

She has the power to stop time. He just became her reason to restart it.

There’s only one thing Kadence has ever wanted—to leave the painful life she’s been forced to endure, and join her father in Olympus. When Kronos comes to her with a mission, Kadence seizes the opportunity to use her demigod powers to earn the right to go to him.
All she has to do is figure out who’s messing with people’s timelines. Good people are dying before they should, others are living beyond their allocated minutes. But as fates are irrevocably changed and darkness appears at every turn, Kadence finds herself wondering—is the world even worth saving?
Her only ray of hope is Micah, a guy with no past or family. Mysterious, philosophical, and confidently optimistic, Micah shows Kadence that for any light to be seen, darkness must be present. For the first time, love has Kadence doing something she’d never imagined…believing.
It’s when her world of demigod responsibilities collides with the darkness she’s fighting that Kadence must make a choice. Does she still want to go to Olympus if it means leaving Micah behind?
And when the unthinkable happens—how will she use her powers?

Because Kadence has the ability to stop time. It’s whether she wants to restart it that will become the question.

THE HAUNTING OF HILLWOOD FARM

KATHRYN KNIGHT

After tragedy strikes, Callie Sinclair is left with a gift she never wanted–the ability to communicate with ghosts. But when a desperate widow begs for her help, she reluctantly agrees to investigate the strange occurrences at Hillwood Farm. She quickly realizes she’s dealing with a dangerous presence beyond anything she’s ever experienced, and something else becomes equally clear–the only other living person in the house, Mrs. Turner’s handsome grandson, thinks she’s a scam artist. While she’d prefer to just ignore him, her heart beats a little faster every time he’s nearby.

Luke Turner doesn’t believe in spirits. He’s moved back to restore the family farm, but living on the property serves a dual purpose–he can watch out for his grandmother. He’s not happy about the sudden appearance of a self-described psychic, or his inexplicable attraction to her. His initial suspicions crumble as evidence points to an actual haunting, but he’s still determined not to fall for Callie–the past has taught him it’s best to avoid relationships.

As Callie is drawn deeper into the mystery, she becomes the target of a vengeful spirit, and Luke can no longer fight his feelings for her. Unable to resist their desire, passion ignites…even as the paranormal activity escalates to a final deadly confrontation.

SPARK

R.K. CLOSE

A firefighter with a wild secret to protect and a tenacious news reporter looking for her big break clash after several suspicious deaths rock a small mountain community.

Liam and his brothers have hidden their wolf natures from the residents of Flagstaff, but when vampires move in, the small town may not be big enough, especially when friends begin to die.

Jessica attempts to interview the ruggedly handsome fire captain, only to be met with stubborn resistance. This challenge only serves to encourage Jess to dig deeper. The fact that she’s strangely drawn to Liam is as confusing as it is frustrating since he seems resistant to her profession and her feminine charms. As Jessica draws closer to the truth behind the mysterious deaths, she captures the attention of more than just the fire captain.

When the outspoken reporter’s life is threatened, Liam will have to decide between keeping his family secret or risk exposure to protect the woman who’s been haunting his thoughts and dreams.
