Another two weeks gone.

Time flies, especially when you have a lot to do. I’m nearly finished with the first book in the new series, re-editing some of the others and I just sent out the outline for the third book in the Prophecy series for the cover. I’m not sure yet what the title of that one will be, but it will come to me soon enough. My design studio, DDD, is working on the design as we speak and I’m really excited what they come up with.
Luckily, I’m up for a few days holiday from my regular work and hope to be able to catch up on the writing and the editing. My goal is to send out the new book, from a brand new series, to my ARC team in September. It will not be the final version, editing will still need to be completed, but I really want my ARC’s team’s feedback on the concept.

When I started on my writing journey, I never imagined how complicated writing and publishing a book was. I thought, quite naively, that you wrote a good book, quite a chore in itself, and then it was published and you sold copies. Sure, I knew about marketing. But I never envisioned how much I would have to learn to be able to actually get any sales.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great journey and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. It’s interesting, I’ve learnt a lot, and it’s brought me a great new circle of friends. Authors stick together, we help each other and share our lessons learned.
But it is a lot of work. And as most of us Indie authors also hold down a regular job, it can easily overwhelm you.
Don’t let that stop you. If you have a book in you that you want to get out in the world, start your research, start writing and go for it.

In the meantime, here are some books for you.

My new ability could get me killed.

I’m Claire Beckett, the newest detective in Crescent City. And I can see runes around dead bodies. Life would be perfect if I didn’t have to deal with the werewolf mayor and finding out that my mother lied to me about her ties to this place.

Bodies are dropping throughout the city, similar to a group of cold cases I’ve found. The killer’s ready to kill again and if history has anything to do with it, he’ll continue to hunt until he’s had his revenge.

But the more we keep digging, connections to both me and my partner amp up the need to find this killer and get him behind bars before the city begins to panic.

Determined to find her mother, Lavender must navigate magic, romance, and time travel across otherworldly realms.

Lavender Doanhart inherited the gift of magic, like many in the Mage Alliance. Her happy-go-lucky life ends abruptly on Halloween night when a century-old family feud comes to a head, and supernatural forces of light and dark converge on her family’s mansion in Hant Hollow. As a result, the underworld engulfs her sorceress grandmother and mother, dragging them into the abyss. Call it intuition or just plain magic, but Lavender knows her mother is still alive and is willing to sacrifice her soul to save her.

Commander Brody Whitmore has risen through the Mage Alliance’s military ranks, becoming the regent’s right hand. Committed and driven to succeed until the day he meets a stubborn and headstrong witch who consumes his heart and soul. For over a hundred years, Brody and Lavender were inseparable. Then, on the night he decides to propose, the forces of Light and Dark collide in Hant Hollow, thrusting his magical lady into the battle of her life. The foolish woman thinks she can save him by breaking off their relationship, but he’s determined to fight at her side, even if he thinks she’s wrong.

Sometimes even a Fae princess has to agree to an impossible bargain. Unfortunately there’s no “fair” in Fae.
Exiled Fae princess Reine has gotten comfortable in the Earth realm, but she’d drop it all in a heartbeat to return home to Faerie. When her scornful mother proposes a pact, Reine knows she better be careful, because Fae bargains are always loaded with tricks…

On the same day she agrees to help smoke out a traitor on a team of scientists, an invisible shifter attacks her in her supposedly ultra-secure home and a teleporting kitten adopts her. She suspects it’s all connected, but time is running out for her to figure out how. After discovering a shadowy manipulator is intent on seeing her fail, Reine must confront a deadly conspiracy that reaches into the Fae realm and could spell the end for her kind.

Can Reine unmask a sinister cabal before she loses her ticket home…or her life?

Never meet your heroes—especially if they’re dead.

Years before the Child of Chaos makes their fateful choice, young Dantess faces his own reckoning.
Dantess wants to follow in the footsteps of his dead grandfather—a legendary priest of War—but his father forbids it. In fact, his father’s hatred of War lands him in a cell within the god’s temple.
The only way to free him is from the inside, so Dantess must choose: let his father die or defy his upbringing, become a priest, and win his father’s freedom in the temple’s deadly Game of War.

Torn between the legacies of his father and grandfather, Dantess finds that both paths hide secrets that threaten to destroy everything he cares about, including his sanity.

Dantess must decide who he wants to be—but if he’s wrong, everyone will pay the price.

Book one in the Coven of Desire series

He’s not your typical werewolf-next-door.

Layla hadn’t counted on a sex demon appearing in her living room. Nor did she expect to find she’s a witch, tasked with protecting the mortal realm. And now her friend, fellow nursing student and impossible crush could be a potential killer?

She’s silently lusted after Cal for a year, knowing a guy that hot, sweet and kind wouldn’t look twice at her. All their flirting was innocent and went nowhere, until Ink—the incubus bound to her—ran into her life and bed. Next thing she knows, Cal’s growling at her while Ink flirts, and women are being ripped apart by wild animals. Couldn’t the murder monster mystery wait until after finals?

She wanted to be a nurse, not a paranormal investigator, but Layla has no choice. Apparently only witches can stop these creatures that she didn’t even know existed a month ago. But the deeper she digs, the more it looks like Cal’s deep in the middle of it all. How can she save her friend from the claws of a cult, keep her sex-craved demon happy and find a way to let both into her heart.
