I have been able to acquire a BookBub feature for February 5th. This coming Friday. What is BookBub, you may ask?
Bookbub is a site that shares discounted books. You subscribe to the categories that you are interested in on their site, and BookBub will mail you a daily mail with approximately five or six books that are discounted. They screen the books. Only professionally made good books make the lists. The mails go out to more than a million avid readers looking for a new favourite.
As you can imagine, Authors are desperate to get a feature in a BookBub mail. For every spot there are more than twenty applicants every single day. Despite that, I managed to get one for Assassin’s Choice. That makes me really happy. It is an advertisement, but with the massive number of subscribers, it almost always makes back the advertisement costs. And the reach to new readers is enormous. To make sure that the book is discounted on the feature day, I always reduce the price for about 7 – 10 days. The feature this time is for the US, but the discount is for the whole world.
