I have managed to score a BookBub feature for tomorrow.
What is that? you may ask. Well, BookBub is a site that sends all it’s subscribers a daily mail with three discounted books that they recommend.
This is major. BookBub has millions and millions of subscribers. All subscribers have indicated their favourite genres and the books that are recommended are tailored to the subscriber’s preference. It’s the most direct marketing that you can get as an author.
Every author tries and tries to get a “feature” in the BookBub mails. It is extremely difficult, as you can imagine, thousands of authors in every genre try to achieve the goal of a feature.
It is an ad. We have to pay for the feature, but you are almost guaranteed to get your money back through sales, because of the enormous exposure the mail gets.
The book in a feature has to be discounted. And it has to pass the strict requirements that BookBub adheres to. They are very adamant that the book has to look professional, so a good cover and well written. They read the stories and anything under par will not make the list.
I managed to get one for tomorrow for Primal Nature. That means that the mail will be sent to almost 1,4 million subscribers in the Supernatural Suspense genre.
It’s so exciting. I can’t wait to see what the result is.
Primal Nature is discounted from $4.99 to $0.99 for the coming days. But please make sure you don’t wait too long. The price will revert to the normal $4.99 at the end of next week.
