It’s a scorcher!
I don’t think it has even been so hot here in Holland.
We have had almost constant 30C+ temperatures here for more days than I can remember. The sun has broken every record, with an all-time high of almost 40 degrees last week Friday.
Me, I’m not the warm weather type of person. Well, I am English, so “hot” is not in the genes.
It’s ok for a few days, but I think it’s lasting too long for most of us here. The grass is burnt yellow, the leaves on the trees are colouring brown prematurely. If this keeps up, we’ll have bare trees within a few days.
An Indian summer is when you have an extra bout of summer in the fall. We are barreling on to the fall in summer. Wonder what that’s called?
For some it’s fantastic, and for others it’s too much.
There is nothing we can do about the weather. Some things in life still can’t be controlled by Man. We just have to leave it up to Nature. Weather is one of them. Maybe just as well, then at least we can’t fight about it. 🙂
