Summer is on it’s way.

The good weather has been a bit of a surprise. It came a lot earlier than in previous years. We’ve even had our first two hot days where the temperature passed the 30 degrees. Once in April and once again last week. Now all we can do is hope that it wasn’t a fluke.

Makes me start planning for the summer. I don’t usually go away on holiday, I have what is call a “staycation”, I stay at home for the vacation. There’s a lot to be done here on the farm and I have great plans for new books. I also need to break some ground with the marketing and get the Primal Series featured in blogs and podcasts. Lots of new experiences.

I had my first ever interview last week. You can read it at the following link:
I actually blushed at the compliments 🙂

You’ve probably all heard about the new privacy laws that are being implemented here in Europe. The goal is that you have more control over your personal information. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on May 25 2018.

I will be sending out an extra newsletter for the GDPR this weekend.

Here are some other books that caught my eye and a few competitions to stock up the virtual book shelf with.

Last day to stock up on the May 2018 Fantasy Extravaganza. Click on the link below (yes, it’s the right one now 🙂 ) and download great Fantasy books free.

Who’s afraid of the big, bad werewolf?

When London’s brightest tinkers and alchemists come up missing, Red Cape Society Agent Clemeny Louvel is on the case.
To help Clemeny get the problem in hand, Queen Victoria assigns her a temporary partner–a werewolf with a knightly history and a tendency to be far too flirtatious for either of their good. Can she trust him to help her chase down the monsters they’re hunting?
It’s Penny Dreadful meets Supernatural in this exciting new gaslamp urban fantasy. Wolves and Daggers retells the classic Red Riding Hood fairy tale with hefty doses of badassery and steampunk.

See how New York Times bestselling author Melanie Karsak puts her unique spin on this timeless tale, blending it into her richly-built and award-winning steampunk universe.

Their mating will redefine the future…if they don’t kill each other first

When immortal warrior Aaron’s twin is killed, he’s on the verge of destroying himself, only to be saved by the sight of a feisty dragon-shifter who is his fated mate.
Hope’s dragon recognizes Aaron as her mate. Yet, she must deny him; for dragon shifters can only mate with their own kind. If she were to accept the mating bond with Aaron, she risks killing him.
Thrown together in a fight to save their two races from the deadly Elysian, a powerful warrior race stronger than any shifter or immortal, Aaron and Hope must defeat this new threat.

But can they also find the way to each other’s soul?

This is Hope and Aaron’s story, book 1 in the Dragon Protectors Series

He cannot die…
The phoenix will continuously rise from the ashes. For Zenon, this is his ultimate curse. Left to rot at the end of a chain for millennia, he is desperate to end the suffering of one horrendous demise, and rebirth, after another – to finally find peace. Desperate for anything other than his fated life of solitude. Desperate for his true death.
She cannot live…
Tormented by an unrelenting heart affliction, Nickie has to endure dying repeatedly. The physical pain of death is eclipsed only by the paralyzing fear of when her heart will stop beating next… and whether or not this time will be the last. That is, until she learns the myth of phoenix shifters, and the healing power they have over their human mates.

Together they could be everything…
An evil is rising. One more powerful than any the phoenix shifters have faced before. If Zenon and Nickie cannot convince the others to help, the pain they’ve already endured will pale in comparison to their future.
Unless they can convince the other phoenixes to help, then all humanity is lost.

Ines Trudeau knows what it takes to survive the rough streets. She’s had no choice but to learn due to the cards she’d been dealt in life. However, she refused to pity herself or allow others to. She’s tough and can make her own way. So, the last thing she expects is to become the victim of an assault. Nor does she ever think she’ll be rescued by the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen.

The moment Jacques Astier laid eyes on Ines, he knew she was the one for him. So, he’s surprised when she walks into the bar he frequents. Unfortunately, he can’t seem to get her to believe that he doesn’t see her a charity case. His wolf makes it known that it wants her by any means necessary. Now he has to convince Ines that not only is he attracted to her, but she’s his mate.

My name is Vaughn Prentiss and my whole life was a lie.
I’d had one goal–prove that an orphan from Baltimore could become the youngest partner at my law firm.
That all changed the day I started seeing monsters. Nobody else noticed these mami watas, zwarts and other demon spawn. With the help of a former witch, I discovered Lucifer was my uncle and that a prophecy foretold I’d bring about his downfall. Unless he killed me and took my soul.
I have a lot to live for and I don’t like the idea of Lucifer using my soul to bring humanity to its knees.
My name is Vaughn Prentiss and I’m going to fight to take my place as LegionBorn. Lucifer has no idea what’s in store for him.

For one superhero, the good guys can be deadlier than the bad guys.

Jillian Johnson, known as the mighty Battlecry, was born into a superhero cult. She craves a life of freedom, far away from her violent and abusive team leader, Patrick. With no education, no money, and no future to speak of, she’s stuck in the dangerous life…until she meets the mysterious and compelling Benjamin, a civilian with superpowers. When Patrick confronts her, she fights back–and then runs for her life. One by one, her ex-teammates join her until a new team has formed. But Patrick will not let his upstart teammates get away so easily. Humiliated and hellbent on vengeance, he waits for his chance to strike back and kill the new team, and he is happy to murder superheroes and civilians alike.

The world says those with superpowers are either heroes or villains. But
what if you’re both?
The last thing Mathilda Brandt ever wanted to be again was a super-villain. But a secretive government agency gives her a stark choice: either return to prison for life, or infiltrate the Scourge, the world’s most notorious Empowered criminal organization. She’ll have to
fight to survive in the Scourge, with dangers on all sides. She’ll have to use her superpower to commit crimes.
She can’t trust anyone. Being exposed would mean losing her life. Failing her mission means returning to prison. Failing also means Jeopardizing the lives of her sisters, her grandmother, and thousands of other innocents.

Only one thing is for certain: Mat never backed down from a fight before, and she’s not going to start now.
